About the role
Are you passionate about shaping the customer experience and influencing the journey of market-leading brands? As a Junior Category and Trade Manager at Reckitt, your strategies will directly impact on our success in engaging shoppers. You'll partner with key customers using insights to inform their category strategy, whilst focusing on the fine details of the 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Place). In this position, you'll engage with a variety of teams to create category plans that resonate with customers and drive our brands to new heights. Your responsibilities
- Support category strategy execution across customers, including promotions, assortment optimization, shelving, and new product launches aligned with brand priorities.
- Build strong customer relationships by acting as a trusted advisor, sharing insights on market, category, and consumer trends to drive mutual growth.
- Champion innovation by ensuring smooth market entry for new products, developing compelling trade stories, and tracking 4Ps performance.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers to position Reckitt as a strategic partner and category expert.
- Develop short- and long-term category strategies based on market conditions and consumer trends, in partnership with global and local marketing and sales teams.
- Identify growth opportunities and risks, and drive decisive action plans to capitalize on them.
- Own and execute 4P strategies across customer/channel mix to maximize distribution, performance, and profitability.
- Monitor performance and ROI, conduct gap analyses, and recommend corrective actions to optimize trade spend and commercial outcomes.
The experience we're looking for
- 2-4 years of experience in commercial roles such as Category Management, Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Sales. Ideally within FMCG, Food & Beverage, or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using either Nielsen, GfK, Power BI, or similar syndicated data tools.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory; experience with Spaceman is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage external customer relationships and influence stakeholders across functions.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of customer and category dynamics.
- Comfortable working autonomously in an international environment and collaborating across remote teams.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have fluency in either Dutch or French.
