Role Purpose

The Lead, Strategy & Operations is a leadership role within Global Data & Analytics, responsible for shaping and driving the strategy, operations, and governance agenda across the entire D&A organization. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Data & Analytics delivers sustainable business impact through effective portfolio management, operational excellence, and alignment with Reckitt’s enterprise priorities.

As a member of the D&A Leadership Team, the Lead provides direction, oversight, and coaching to a team of Strategy and Operations Managers, ensuring consistency, scalability, and strategic alignment across business and D&A domains (Platforms, Products, Data Governance).

This role requires strong leadership, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to set direction across complex, global, and cross-functional environments, while embedding D&A in Reckitt’s DNA.

You’ll:

Leadership & Strategy

Serve as part of the D&A Leadership Team, co-shaping the vision, strategy, and operating model for Data & Analytics globally.

Translate strategic priorities into an integrated portfolio and operating agenda, ensuring alignment across business functions and IT&D.

Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to Portfolio Managers and their teams, ensuring high performance, consistency, and career growth.

• Portfolio & Operations Management

Oversee the full D&A portfolio through the four Portfolio Managers, ensuring prioritization, delivery, and adoption of Data & Analytics products and platforms across all business functions.

Establish and maintain governance structures for D&A portfolio planning, budget management, partner/vendor management, capability development, and communications.

Drive continuous improvement and scalability of the D&A operating model, embedding best practices in agile, financial, and delivery management.

• Stakeholder & Business Engagement

Act as a senior point of contact for IT&D and business leaders, ensuring D&A priorities, budgets, and resources are aligned to business value.

Lead D&A leadership forums and councils to ensure decisions are transparent, data-driven, and aligned with Reckitt’s enterprise objectives.

Represent D&A in enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and planning conversations.

• Financial & Vendor Oversight

Own and oversee the consolidated D&A financial budget across people, infrastructure, and licensing, ensuring discipline and transparency.

Oversee partner/vendor performance, ensuring that relationships support delivery quality, cost efficiency, and long-term capability development.

• Team & Culture

Build and sustain a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the D&A organization.

Actively mentor and support the growth of Portfolio Managers, creating clear career pathways and succession plans.

Champion diversity, inclusion, and well-being within the team.

You’ll succeed because you have…

  • Proven leadership track record with 12+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, IT, or digital delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership or strategy/operations roles.

  • Deep understanding of Data & Analytics products, platforms, governance, and operating models, with the ability to connect technical delivery to business value.

  • Strong experience in managing large portfolios, budgets, and global stakeholder groups, ideally across multiple business domains.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior business and IT&D leaders.

  • Strong financial acumen, with experience overseeing large budgets and vendor/partner ecosystems.

  • Excellent people leadership: proven experience in building, mentoring, and scaling teams across multiple locations and cultures.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to represent D&A credibly in enterprise leadership forums.

  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-moving, complex environment.
