The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting cross-functional collaboration between HR, Finance, and other departments. This role is critical to maintaining employee satisfaction and operational efficiency. Given our current strategic focus on the Benelux, DACH and Nordics regions, we particularly welcome specialists with expertise from those markets.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with local teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution across assigned markets
  • Conduct thorough variance analysis and implement robust payroll controls to support accurate pay slip generation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payroll-related matters, resolving employee queries and escalating complex cases as needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and validation of payroll reports for assigned markets, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery.
  • Manage and submit all statutory documentation related to tax deductions, employee benefits, and legal garnishments.
  • Administer Company Benefits and benefit-related payroll components, including insurance premiums, sick leave compensation, and other entitlements.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including payroll vendors and government authorities.
  • Support payroll transformation initiatives, including process automation, system integration, and continuous improvements.
  • Contribute to internal and external audit processes through active participation and documentation oversight.

The experience we're looking for

  • Fluency in Polish and English; additional proficiency in German, French, or Dutch would be a big advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years + experience in an independent payroll role.
  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labour compliance across international markets
  • Hands-in experience with HR software (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven collaboration with external payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Strada) and successful management of multi-country payroll operations.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking, organizational efficiency, and clear communication abilities
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively and adapt to changing demand
  • Team-oriented mindset with empathy, supportiveness, and a collaborative approach
