About the role
This role is within the global supply chain quality team, will ensure the quality compliance of suppliers for the St. Peters and Belle Mead sites, and will support the audit network across North America. The scope includes both existing and new suppliers, as well as support of other audit types in the region.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
This role will:
- Act as lead auditor to plan, organize, conduct, and follow up on audit actions through completion for new and existing suppliers for the St. Peters and Belle Mead sites.
- Support the drafting of robust technical Agreements for suppliers of raw materials and components.
- Ensure all local supplier management procedures comply with Reckitt’s global procedures and policies.
- Populate monthly supplier quality KPIs.
- Ensure supplier activities fully comply with regulatory and Reckitt guidelines to minimize risks to consumers, the business, and the brand.
- Write technical summaries and audit reports and publish them within 28 days.
- Recommend approval (or rejection) of new suppliers.
- Escalate any non-standard issues related to supplier QMS failures to the Senior Quality Manager –Corporate Audit and Vendor Management NA and regional procurement managers if necessary, ensuring they are managed and communicated via the CEP process where applicable.
Your responsibilities
- Propose quality improvements and training for suppliers when needed to enhance performance.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation measures at suppliers to reduce risks for Reckitt.
- Organizing formal meetings with suppliers (at least for the top 5 underperforming suppliers).
- Synthesizing necessary data to provide a comprehensive site-wide view of supplier performance and critical issues by gathering information from various production groups.
- Leading these meetings, writing minutes, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions, and informing relevant stakeholders (production, procurement, etc.).
- Participating in risk assessment studies (e.g., FMEA) and Change Control for all new packaging projects.
- Ensuring specific controls are implemented at the supplier when necessary.
- Conducting supplier audits:
- “System” audits for new suppliers or projects.
- “Field” audits to ensure desired actions are implemented.
- Auditing and referencing new suppliers in North America, ensuring their competence (audit report) to work with a Reckitt factory.
The experience we're looking for
- Degree, experience in manufacturing and packaging preferred
- Deep understanding of manufacturing and packaging operations, including raw material and packaging material production and control
- Experienced and qualified lead auditor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Available to undertake local travel as needed to support audit needs
