About the role

  • Manage new product development (NPD) projects, rollout of existing products (EPD), and business development initiatives (BDI) for the SelfCare LATAM brands.
  • Carry out all research and development activities before and after product launch, including formulation development, material development, manufacturing methods, quality control methods (physicochemical and microbiological), and stability evaluations.
  • Prepare the Common Technical Document (dossier) for obtaining new regulatory approvals or modifying existing registration conditions.
  • The position reports to the R&D Senior Associate and will be responsible for the R&D Assistant.
  • Working in a highly regulated environment in compliance with COFEPRIS and ANVISA, with partial alignment to FDA standards, while meeting established timelines. Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving and navigating regulatory complexities.

Location of the Role: Mexico City, Tlalpan

Your responsibilities

  • Supervision and coordination of experimental research and development activities
  • Lead assigned projects
  • Preparation and follow-up of documents
  • Sample management
  • Handling and tracking of supply and consumable usage
  • Achieve performance targets set at both local and corporate levels, in alignment with role responsibilities
  • Operate under the integrated quality management system of both the Tlalpan site and the Global framework
  • Monitoring of health and safety performance indicators

The experience we're looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience or equivalent in the area of analytical development, pharmaceutical development, or in a similar role. Proven experience working on R&D projects and leading related activities. Background in the small molecule pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated experience in personnel management, having previously held a position with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience working on Research and Development (R&D) projects, leading both technical and strategic activities. Familiarity with basic guidelines for new product development, including formulation, scale-up, and validation stages.
  • Strong knowledge of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls), stability studies, analytical method development, validation and transfer of analytical methods. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and environments, as well as expertise in the Common Technical Document (CTD or technical dossier).
  • English fluency 70% (speaking & writing)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on small molecules.
  • Proven track record in personnel management, having previously held a team leadership position.
