About the role
The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager is a member of the Reckitt Shopper Marketing Team and will work across Reckitt's VMS (Vitamin/Mineral/Supplement) and Wellness portfolio of brands. The position will require direct interaction with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Senior Managers and Executives and other strategic external partners to develop strong business alignment, programming and relationships as related to the Shopper Marketing function which includes coupons. You will work with all Reckitt internal functions to ensure Shopper Marketing programming meets stakeholders’ needs and delivers upon brand, category and sales objectives. You also will own the shopper marketing relationship with key sales teams/ retailers as it relates to planning, strategy, activation and evaluation.
Your responsibilities
In summary, you'll:
- Own development and execution of consumer promotion and shopper plans to deliver business goals/achieve KPIs across the shopper journey.
- Develop insight-driven shopper strategy, activation and communication by utilizing shopper insights to create messaging that resonates with a retailer’s shopper and drive conversion at point-of-purchase.
- Lead shopper marketing efforts in commercial planning process to ensure timely delivery of strategies/plans and ensure linkage to annual planning process.
- Lead management of agencies and vendors that includes briefing the shopper marketing agency, evaluating strategy and creative, communication across key stakeholders. Manages a shopper marketing budget, with responsibility for both working and non-working dollars.
- Demonstrate the ability to optimize future programs to deliver the best return. Test & learn mentality to evaluate shopper tactics/program activation elements.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience within CPG industry with at least 3 years in brand/customer/trade/shopper marketing
- Prior experience working directly with retailers preferred
- Prior agency management experience
- Prior analytics/insights experience with ability to synthesize and make strategic recommendations
- Prior project management experience – executing a project from start to finish
- Strong analytical and strategic thinker
- A balance of strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a matrix type of reporting structure (not purely functional area)
- Strongly results oriented with demonstrable track record of success
- Self-motivated, highly flexible and takes the initiative to do what’s needed
- Financial acumen related to managing a budget, ROI analysis and budget optimization
