About the role

As Assistant to the General Manager at Reckitt, you will play a key role in enabling them to focus on strategic priorities by managing their day-to-day operational flow. This includes handling calendars, coordinating meetings with internal and external stakeholders, organizing travel, and ensuring smooth logistical execution for key events.

Your work directly supports the effective functioning of the Netherlands Commercial Office, playing a vital role in driving the company forward during an exciting phase of growth. Your contribution helps ensure that leadership time is focused where it has the greatest impact, both locally and worldwide.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where attention to detail, proactive planning, and clear communication are essential.

This role will be based in our Sloterdijk office, remote work 2 days a week.

Your responsibilities

  • Executive Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the General Manager (GM), managing communications and acting as a liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Proactively manage the GM’s calendar to ensure optimal time allocation aligned with business priorities.
    • Coordinate and prepare materials for internal and external meetings, including agendas, presentations, and follow-up actions.
    • Draft and review correspondence, reports, and communications on behalf of the GM when appropriate.
    • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Operational and Project Support
    • Support the planning of leadership offsites, team events, and workshops.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Finance, Communications) on projects and initiatives.

  • Travel and Logistics Management
    • Plan and manage travel arrangements, ensuring efficient itineraries and compliance with travel policies.
    • Coordinate visa applications and other travel documentation as required.
    • Manage expense reports and travel-related budgets.

  • Administrative Excellence
    • Process Purchase Orders, vendor invoices, and budget tracking for department-related activities.
    • Support the office/facilities team when needed.
    • Maintain and improve administrative processes to ensure smooth daily operations.
    • Support ad-hoc requests, reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.

The experience we're looking for

  • Ideally 2 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior-level leaders in a corporate setting. A fast-paced, international environment is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English. Dutch or French being a big plus!
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with precision, professionalism, and a proactive mindset.
  • High level of discretion and trustworthiness when handling sensitive information.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a broader team.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
