About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Validation Engineer to lead broad-based validation initiatives across our facility. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that all validation activities are strategically aligned with the Site Validation Master Plan, CAPEX initiatives, and long-term site imperatives—while advancing operational cost-effectiveness. You’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining compliance with the latest validation standards and driving continuous improvement across processes. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, proactive change management, and a commitment to consistency by coaching, mentoring, and setting the gold standard for validation excellence.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate validation activities across the site, ensuring clear documentation and visibility of validation status.
  • Collaborate closely with Site Validation, Engineering, and Technical Managers to maintain in-depth understanding of the CAPEX Plan and Site Validation Master Plan.
  • Drive and implement validation improvements focused on enhancing cost-efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide validation support to global pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, partnering with Regional Supply Heads to align with broader technical and engineering strategies.
  • Deliver departmental goals in alignment with the company’s strategic imperatives as they pertain to validation operations.
  • Manage validation-related projects within allocated budgets and timelines, ensuring successful execution of the supply and validation strategy.
  • Take an active role during audit inspections concerning equipment, cleaning, and facility validation—ensuring the site remains audit-ready for all regulatory markets.
  • Optimize resource and time management to meet tight and often fixed project deadlines.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent validation projects and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Offer ad-hoc validation expertise and troubleshooting support, both locally in the UK and across global operations.

This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven expertise in validation principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Industry experience within pharmaceutical and/or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards and legislation.
