About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join our Warehouse Procurement team based in Amsterdam (Schiphol Office). In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of warehouse logistics services and materials. You will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations across multiple regions, driving value, compliance, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for warehouse-related services (e.g., 3PL, packaging, handling equipment, automation solutions).
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and operational requirements.
• Manage tender processes, including RFI/RFQ/RFP preparation, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply, Legal, Finance, Quality) to ensure alignment and successful implementation of contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and risks to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procurement standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to warehouse procurement

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply, preferably in warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience with tendering processes and supplier performance management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa).
• Fluent in English;
