About the role
As a QC Analyst – Level 1, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day analytical and quality related tasks within the Quality Control area. Working under minimal supervision, you will ensure all work complies with Good Laboratory Practice while supporting product quality and customer satisfaction. You’ll take full ownership of your outputs, consistently meeting or exceeding performance standards defined by laboratory leadership.
Your responsibilities
- Testing of Quality Control batches within the laboratory.
- The day to day prioritisation and organisation of individual workload to ensure that customer service and stakeholder needs are met.
- To ensure that relevant data is recorded and available for inspection in accordance with Good Manufacturing and Good Laboratory Practices.
- To understand and follow all necessary Health and Safety systems and ensure that all work is consistent with safe working practices.
- To maintain high standards of laboratory / office housekeeping in the work areas.
- Provide support to Regulatory Authority inspections as required.
- To ensure cGMP compliant delivery of their activities.
- Apply and maintain the cGMP processes / documentation / systems that are relevant to their area, and / or as may be delegated by laboratory management.
- Taking ownership for training, seeking out opportunities to fulfil individual training needs.
- Responsible operator tasks for basic equipment within the laboratory, including SOP writing and maintenance in relation to the equipment.
- To ensure that QC equipment and systems are maintained / calibrated / qualified to appropriate standards.
- To understand and contribute to agreed metrics for the monitoring of performance and delivery.
- To deliver assigned tasks as required to meet or exceed QC Key Performance Indicator targets.
The experience we're looking for
- Degree level qualification and/or relevant and appropriate demonstrable skills and experience.
- Good delivery of core skills.
- Demonstrable or transferable skills relevant to the delivery of QC activities.
- Demonstrable skills in working within a multi-level team environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team of people.
- Basic awareness of troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral with sound presentation skills.
- Good IT skills required, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Chromeleon and SAP would be advantageous.
