About Sustainability & the role

In March 2021, Reckitt announced their 2030 Sustainability ambitions, for a cleaner, healthier world. Essential Home 2030 ambitions will follow the Reckitt ambitions; by building on the progress we have already made and reflecting the areas where we can maximise our positive and enduring impact.

You will be instrumental in driving our Sustainability agenda, putting Essential Home at the forefront of sustainability in its sector and unlocking long term value growth.

Your responsibilities

INTEGRATE SUSTAINABILITY INTO THE OPERATING MODEL

  • Co-lead with the head of sustainability the development of Sustainable Brand strategies: define key strategic pillars, set up KPIs by brand and co-build with Brand and X-function teams glidepaths (short/mid/long term approach) to achieve sustainable ambitions.
  • Embed sustainability into the category growth value strategy to drive competitive advantage.
  • Partner with TOP CMUs to set up commercial KPIs and establish solid sustainability customer plans through the whole value chain.

ACCELERATE ESSENTIAL HOME SUSTAINABILITY EXPERTISE

  • Lead the development of upskilling plan for different teams on fundamental sustainability topics.
  • Track commercial performances for top CMUs and Brands thanks to Customer dashboard, More Sustainable NR Dashboards and SIC results.
  • Work closely with IT&D and external partners to improve data systems.

ENGAGE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS:

  • Foster a culture of sustainability by developing a communication plan for internal audience to enrich sustainability knowledge and track sustainability results.
  • Partner with key customers to co-develop holistic sustainability plan and engage them to our sustainable innovation development plans.
  • Create a group of external partners to upskill sustainability team and co-develop long term sustainability strategy with them.

The experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work independently and possess the ability to collaborate, motivate and work effectively with variety of different internal and external employees and stakeholders, to inspire a positive culture of respect for strong human rights and environmental standards within our entire value chain.

  • Significant experience of Trade/Brand management in FMCG and Reckitt, with proven ability to drive operations,
  • Very strong entrepreneurship and agility skills: be a self-starter, who excels in a fast-paced and dynamic international environment,
  • Passion to drive change and engage teams to common goals,
  • Excellent understanding of the FMCG industry and Reckitt business needs,
  • Able to put theory into practice by developing clear and pragmatic strategies that can be integrated into business processes up to Markets strategy,
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation plans,
  • Fluent in English,
  • Good awareness of current and emerging ESG trends, risks and opportunities that may affect Essential Home’s brands is a plus.
