About the role
Your responsibilities
We understand that Iterative method development in a small scale factory, takes a lot of time and resources to achieve high quality. Adapting digital acceleration tools, in the Simulation and modelling space, enables consumer-centric innovation at Reckitt – delivering sustainable and optimised products by at a faster pace! Our IT&D team is expanding this capability. We have the ambition to transform our ways of working by integrating a “digital first” approach to science, innovation, R&D, packaging, and manufacturing. You could help us to use simulation technology to deliver a competitive edge. You'll also be responsible for:
- Creating technical CAD models of manufacturing hardware, manufacturing processes and processing suites
- Simulating models to determine process improvements with computational simulations
- Working with business users to support adoption of digital first tools and living the strategy, challenging where required alternative methods
- Working with third parties to deliver outsourced models where needed or appropriate
- Supporting the IT infrastructure required to deliver the software and hardware to the team and internal users
The experience we're looking for
- A track record of contributing within cross-functional teams to achieve remarkable results.
- Proven experience overseeing the software development lifecycle with a passion for Agile methodologies
- Technical expertise in mechanical engineering or process engineering, specifically Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is desirable
- Familiarity with platform engineering frameworks such as TOGAF or ITIL, as well as knowledge of DevOps culture.
- Experience with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerisation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong communication skills, fostering understanding and collaboration across teams.
- Sharp analytical abilities, coupled with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Proficiency in mentoring others, nurturing both individual and team growth.
- Relevant certifications, reflecting your commitment to excellence in platform engineering.
