About the role

We are looking for a proficient Platform Architect for GCP who will be instrumental in guiding the design, implementation, and optimization of our platform on Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP services, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading platform engineering teams.

Your responsibilities

Architecture & Design:

• Create and maintain architectural blueprints for development in GCP
• Introduce new services / tools in the GCP platform
• Review designs and architectures of the product teams and ensure they comply with the design blueprints

GCP Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of GCP infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for efficient and automated deployment processes.

Platform Optimization:

• Implement and optimize platform engineering processes to enhance scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency on GCP.

Security and Compliance:

• Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security measures in GCP environments.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to GCP platform services.

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services and infrastructure components.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and GCP security best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
