About the role

As a SharePoint Platform Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of SharePoint Online within our global enterprise. You will work closely with operations and development teams to ensure the platform meets business needs and adheres to best practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish and Improve Operations Processes: Develop and refine processes for SharePoint Online operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitor and enhance the quality of service provided by operations teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations (L2 and L4 support teams) and development teams to execute processes and implement solutions.
  • Governance: Drive and maintain the governance model for SharePoint Online operations.
  • Retention Policies: Implement and manage retention policies for SharePoint Online.
  • Capacity Management: Monitor and optimize the capacity of SharePoint Online to ensure optimal performance.
  • Best Practices: Implement best practices to enhance the operational support of SharePoint Online applications.
  • Support Development Teams: Provide SharePoint expertise to support development teams.
  • Escalation Point: Serve as the primary escalation point for SharePoint Online operations issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders across various geographies to understand and address their needs.

The experience we're looking for

  • Experience: Proven experience in the architecture, design, configuration and maintenance of SharePoint Online.
  • Administration Skills: Experience in administering SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Stream and other services such as Purview, Compliance Center.
  • Documentation and Planning: Ability to prepare comprehensive SharePoint documentation, planning, and processes such as SOP, Work Instructions.
  • Support Experience: Experience providing 2nd or 3rd level support for SharePoint Online and working close with offshore support teams.
  • Integration Knowledge: Understanding of other Microsoft Cloud Services (OneDrive, Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams, Stream, Planner) and their integration with SharePoint.
  • Tools: Knowledge of ShareGate for migration and management tasks.
  • Optimization: Experience in optimizing SharePoint Online capacity and governance.
  • Azure AD: Understanding of Azure Active Directory, app registrations, and enterprise applications.
  • Retention Policies and Sensitivity Labels: Experience with implementing and managing retention policies and labels.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in creating and modifying PowerShell scripts and automating repetitive tasks
  • Communication: Very good communication skills in English.
