About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team and support the Research and Development (R&D) function in China. The HRBP will play a crucial role in partnering with business leaders to drive HR initiatives, strategies, and programs that align with the overall business objectives.

Your responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D leaders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support the achievement of these goals.
  • Provide HR guidance and support on talent management, organizational development, performance management, and employee relations within the R&D function.
  • Collaborate with the global HR team to ensure alignment of HR initiatives and programs with company-wide strategies.
  • Lead and support HR projects and initiatives specific to the R&D function, such as talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the R&D function.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to R&D leaders on HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in China and provide guidance on HR policies and practices.

The skills for success

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, with a focus on partnering with R&D functions in multinational companies.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to drive HR initiatives and programs that contribute to business success.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
