About the role

Your responsibilities

  • Support the financial controlling team in preparing journals and performing monthly reconciliation, including Payroll entry (semi-monthly), Third Party reclass (monthly) and Adjustments / Correction entries
  • Calculate and post payroll accruals on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile and clear payroll bank suspense account (monthly)
  • Reconcile all payroll GL accounts on a monthly basis and follow up on outstanding reconciling items
  • Reconcile pension contributions semi-annually (payroll register versus Canada Life reports)
  • Prepare any other month end journals as needed
  • Supporting in the commercial fixed cost planning and forecasting process
  • Calculate and raise statutory cross charges on the portal and ensure these are timely booked.
  • Assist in preparing the annual financial statements
  • Assist with the corporate tax and VAT audits
  • Prepare the target margin calculations and getting them approved
  • Assist in preparing the corporate tax and VAT returns along with accompanying disclosures
  • Assist with the SAP S4 Hanna project testing and implementation, where needed
  • Assist with the ARIBA project testing and implementation

The experience we're looking for

  • Professional finance or accounting certification, backing your industry knowledge with formal qualifications.
  • 2-3 years of experience within the finance industry, preferably in FP & A.
  • Adept at financial modelling, with excellent Excel skills for data analysis and interpretation.
  • A firm understanding of financial statements including P & L, cash flow, and balance sheets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, navigating stakeholder relationships with ease.
