Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Manager, T&O Finance, Performance Management, lead all aspects of consolidated results reporting processes and drive efficiencies along these processes and tools for the Finance Advisor (FA) teams. You will lead a team that provide insightful and actionable financial and business analysis of T&O results and work on analytical presentations to support decision making. This position supports the Performance Management team to provide Senior Management with effective performance analytics and reporting of Actual results to enable early identification of issues, opportunities and appropriate alternative action to support efficient and timely decision making. The Senior Manager is also responsible for timely delivery of related financial reporting packages while streamlining processes to create efficiencies and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.

What will you do?

  • Provide comprehensive, in-depth and timely analytical support through developing financial summaries and presentations for SVP, T&O Finance and T&O OC
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of T&O business structure and collaborate with finance teams across the enterprise to ensure timely flow of information.
  • Responsible for development of monthly and quarterly management reports (MMR), including key financial highlights and key operating metrics highlighting main risks and opportunities.
  • Support the financial close process including streamlining review and control governance processes
  • Provide insightful analysis for management decision-making. Manage the end-to-end PM reporting process for results
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Performance Management team for reporting of actual results on a monthly basis and external reporting to investors for quarterly results.
  • Involved in various projects as required and support and prepare ad-hoc analysis for financial results as requested
  • Drive operational efficiencies through EPM reporting and analytical capabilities. Serve as centre of excellence in our reporting tool, EPM
  • Manage and actively coach junior staff to develop their capabilities to maintain a strong team

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years experience in relevant finance/accounting capacity
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong advisory and communication capabilities
  • Excellent business acumen, and presentation skills
  • Process improvement and change management mindset
  • Excellent advisory, communication, and collaboration capability

Nice-to-have

  • CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
  • Knowledge / Background in the Technology environment
  • Existing RBC / financial industry Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of RBC’s Financial Systems
