Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As an individual contributor, you will contribute to strategy development and execution of strategic initiatives in support of the Director and Senior Director, Strategy & Transformation within Personal and Commercial Operations (PCO). Initiatives include, but are not limited to, development of new strategic projects prioritized by VP, Operations Strategy & Business Management(OSBM) and EVP PCO, Quarterly Business Reviews, PCO learning strategy and leadership development. You will contribute to a strategic execution roadmap and work with stakeholders to bring together change initiatives and enablers to impact goals and priorities across PCO for the OSBM team. You will collaborate with key partners, including Line of Business (LOB) enablement leads, Operational Risk, Legal, Finance, HR and major transformational initiatives/programs.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to development and execution of PCO strategies and transformation related initiatives such as, but not limited to Quarterly Business Reviews, LOB projects and executive level presentations
  • Work with enablement leads across PCO pillars to ensure the design and execution initiatives support near-term and longer-term PCO strategy and goals
  • Maintain an integrated strategic execution roadmap for PCO wide initiatives with other Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation role(s)
  • Contribute as a thought leader in PCO strategy creation, leveraging experiences and integrating ideas from across RBC and external sources, to enhance strategic initiatives across pillars within PCO
  • Work with peers and cross-functional groups of colleagues to develop high-impact initiatives to support collective goals and outcomes
  • Drive opportunities to enhance leadership enablement and make recommendations on initiatives to support prioritization of business priorities
  • Contribute to solving complex business problems, opportunities and issues as detailed engagement work plans.
  • Synthesize analyses, key findings and potential solutions into actionable recommendations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven expertise in strategy development and execution for senior leaders and executives, including recent/relevant National Office or Line of Business experience
  • Project management experience and ability to partner, work horizontally and influence change across multiple stakeholders
  • Relevant experience leading high-impact and complex end-to-end initiatives from design to execution
  • Strong communication and change management capabilities
  • Impact and Influence
  • Strong business analysis and financial acumen
  • Vision and strategy development capability
  • Ability to derive insight from Data & Analytics, and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous management consulting experience
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
