Job Description

What is the opportunity?
Join RBC’s Physical Security Technology (PST) team as a technical leader dedicated to safeguarding lives, assets, and the bank’s reputation. You’ll drive global security strategies, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like CCVE, intrusion detection, access control, and locking systems. Your work will ensure operational resilience, compliance, and cost-effectiveness while protecting employees, clients, and critical infrastructure. This role is pivotal in shaping RBC’s security posture through innovation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration across all business lines.

What will you do?

  • Lead the design and implementation of physical security technology standards, guidelines, and playbooks.
  • Oversee technical specifications, system architecture, and deployment of security solutions globally.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deploy innovative security technologies aligned with business needs.
  • Manage third-party vendors and internal teams to deliver complex security infrastructure projects on time.
  • Provide governance and oversight for global security technology deployments.
  • Coach junior staff in security technology and project management best practices.
  • Communicate strategic updates to senior leadership and foster cross-functional partnerships.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation, or ability to attain within one year.
  • 7–10 years of experience in physical security technology, including CCVE, intrusion detection, access control, and locking systems.
  • Expertise in system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management for security technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, including vendor oversight and resource allocation.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AI-driven analytics or IoT sensors in security applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., UL, ONVIF).
  • Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing junior team members
