Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Our RBC Global Banking Service Centre (GBSC) team is looking for a Documentation Officer. In this role, you will provide ongoing day-to-day fulfillment of cash management product servicing and operational support for high value Corporate Client Group.

What will you do?

  • Foreign Currency Accounts – Open/close Maintenance

  • Liaison FACTA / CIVT relating to Documentation Specialist

  • Housekeeping of GBSC Master Client List

  • Assumes ownership and accountability for the resolution of client business accounts and all related documentation requirements issues/activity.

  • Have direct client contact to analyze & develop cash management fulfillment strategies.

  • Identifies service/operational inefficiencies and makes recommendations for value added enhancements to appropriate entities.

  • Ensures adherence of Operations Risk, Compliance and Anti Money Laundering (AML) policies, processes and procedures as per “Folio” guidelines to mitigate operational/credit risk

  • Works closely with various partners to build, implement and sustain cash management documentation and client business account requirements

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the end-to-end documentation / client account servicing routines and operations process / fulfillment management

  • Anticipates and proactively identifies process improvements, innovation opportunities and best practices

What you need to succeed?

Must- have:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs. Required to communicate with teams located across Canada

  • A mindset for continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal client negotiation skills

  • ​Proactive, self-starter, with excellent organizational & time management skill set

  • Works independently in a complex, volume driven environment

  • Detail oriented with a commitment to order and quality in process

Nice-to-have:

  • Good understanding of RBC Privacy Policy, Code of Conduct

  • Prior knowledge of Master Client Agreement

  • Strong familiarity with RBC Cash management products and services

  • In depth knowledge of RBC applications, systems and procedures

  • Experience in customer service, within a senior market or cash management environment
