What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Analysis within Core Deposits Technology, we are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst who will support the delivery of medium to complex initiatives that bring together a diverse set of tech stacks and teams. The role is responsible for the execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support for technology changes. What will you do?
Elicit and analyze Business requirements and create documentation such as current (as is) and future state (to be) business & systems processes, user stories, story maps, data catalogs, business rules, use cases, and user interface design, to provide support during the development and testing phases.
Performing detailed analysis and providing inputs to solution design - identifying, tracking, escalating, and/or resolving data and systems issues.
Works collaboratively with business partners, Architects, Development, and Quality Engineering Teams in the Core Banking Technology team and multiple IT interfacing teams.
Facilitate and lead conversations on scope and design, with business stakeholders as well as tech leads, to document detailed requirements layer mapping for coding
Analyze and understand the end-to-end processes and document upstream and downstream impacts to the core banking systems and interfaces.
Document requirements, including source system analysis; analyze and acquire data from primary and secondary data sources – creating mapping specifications for use by development resources
Experience with both Agile and Iterative Waterfall projects and using tools and processes to deliver solutions collaboratively and acting as a liaison between the project team and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contributes to successful project completion within budget and on time, by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree with minimum 3-5 years’ of experience working as a BA/BSA on concurrent initiatives in a fast paced, collaborative environment
Proven experience with Agile methodology, delivering large-scale complex projects/programs, preferably in the Canadian financial sector.
Previous experience in leading requirements workshops with various business and IT stakeholders
Experience in requirements planning and prioritization and requirements elicitation techniques such as Data Analysis, Document Analysis, Interviews, Facilitated Workshops and Observation.
Very good communication skills, verbal and written, for both technical and business audiences.
Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
Experience in mapping integration requirements between different IT systems.
Experience with managing or participating in the project intake and estimation process.
Nice-to-have
Relevant college, university, or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis or related education (CBAP, PMI-PBA)
Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Knowledge of Retail and Commercial Banking.
Strong interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and a demonstrated enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
Experience in test planning, test case preparation and testing of applications and data mapping.
