WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Join a high-impact team driving RBC’s Advice Center and branch technology transformation as a Full Stack developer for Advice Center Engineering Incubation. This role is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and solutions for our emerging business initiatives. The developer will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers to conceptualize, build, and scale new products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for innovation. You will collaborately closely with the different technical product leads, business partners, product owners and other technology partners within the organization to deliver on ideas that support futuristic business vision and emerging technology.

What Will You Do?

• Rapidly build minimum viable products (MVPs) to test hypotheses, often using agile methodologies to iterate quickly.

• Technical Exploration: Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, or architectures to address novel challenges.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with user needs and market opportunities.

What Do you Need to Succeed?

Must Have

• 2–5 years of software development experience, including exposure to cloud services, microservices, GenAI, or data analysis.

• Proficiency in building frontend applications using React or other modern frameworks such as Angular.

• Experience in server-side development with Node.js, Java, or Python.

• A passion for creating exceptional user interfaces and digital experiences.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile teams.

• Hands-on experience with API integration and cloud-based services.

• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with advanced observability tools.

• Understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.

• Familiarity with shift-left testing principles, including early integration of automated testing and code quality checks.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
