Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Technology Infrastructure (TI) Business Aligned Services (BAS) Planning & Financial Management team has financial oversight over TI’s annual spend of $1.4 billion annually and is a key function of being a strategic partner and advocate between Technology Infrastructure (TI), TI Finance and the TI Tower Business Office teams. This role will provide financial support, advisory and analyses to the SVP, Cloud & Intelligent Operations as well as senior management team to improve financial performance, drive cost savings and improve the quality of business decisions for spend managed by this group.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for packaging and presenting monthly financial reviews to SVP Cloud & Intelligent Operations and senior leadership team; highlighting financial results and forecasts, headcount analysis and risks/opportunities
  • Collaborate with Finance, Business Office and BAS teams to manage the creation and management of the Group Operating Plan including: Annual budget and forecasts; 5-year plan; tracking actuals vs plan; spend vs budget; progress against plan and headcount tracking
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and optimization initiatives and collaborate with Cloud team and Finance to track group savings/cost containment/cost avoidance etc. in alignment with TI efficiency management program
  • Understands the priorities and business strategy of the pillar and downstream impact to financials, and business and technology partners including segment allocation of costs
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.
  • Leads and provides oversight for key financial activities and reporting that enable the effective and efficient operation of a TI Team.
  • Provide ad-hoc business analysis and prepare presentations for executive audiences such as VP, SVP and T&O Group Head
  • Contribute to TI transformational initiatives as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with 7+ years of finance and accounting experience with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills and ability to develop effective executive presentations to suit a variety of audiences.
  • A proactive, big picture, strategic thinker and change agent; ability to challenge the status quo and meet exceptional standards in financial management
  • Exceptional excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data, distill actionable insights
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and functional domains at all levels, influencing and aligning others as needed
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in automation of reporting and/or processes
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA) or MBA
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure
  • Ability to convey messages via storytelling, suited to the right audience.
