WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer / Lead Software Engineer to join our DevOps team, specifically in the data insights and regulatory team, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software delivery platform. As a technical leader, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and improvement in software development, data engineering, and DevSecOps practices, with a focus on software supply chain security. Additionally, you will have the chance to explore the potential of Generative AI (GenAI) in building the next generation of our software delivery platform, leveraging its capabilities to enhance security, efficiency, and reliability in our software deployment processes

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, architectures, and reporting systems to support business intelligence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions and technical strategies aligned with long-term platform goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement new products and technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in software development and data engineering practices.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements, particularly in software supply chain security.
  • Integrate and exploit the latest capabilities of generative AI in a developer platform.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in developing and supporting highly scalable and high-performance applications.
  • Proven track record of working across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

Nice-to-have:

  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java (Spring Boot), Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Working knowledge of data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation.
  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions.
