We are recruiting on a Contract Basis for 1 year
What is the opportunity?
In the role of Analyst Financial Control you should possess good business acumen and the ability to provide strong support to the Manager with respect to the financial control and statutory functions for Dutch Caribbean subsidiaries. You must demonstrate accountability and responsibility to deliver a continuous high level of quality output on a timely basis and the ability to quickly grasp issues and offer possible solutions.
What will you do?
- Complete reconciliations and attestations for Finance assigned accounts
- Act as point person to liaise with business partners for resolution of outstanding unreconciled or unassigned balances for subsidiaries in Dutch Caribbean, including working with project teams on pan Caribbean issues
- Prepare monthly management accounts which include Monthly journal entries, Explanation of variances and assisting with resolution of issues
- Prepare New Chart of Accounts reports for the Central Bank of Curacao and St Maarten (CBCS)
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of reports for internal reporting purposes such as Group Market Risk, Group Tax and Governance & Control
- Develop and maintain working paper files to support all deliverables
- Assist the Manager with completion of key messages for quarterly board reporting
- Assist the Manager with the co-ordination of finance activities with Operations, Service and Delivery to ensure transactions are processed timely and accurately
- Contribute to overall team success by committing to deliver a continuous level of high service through supervision and guidance to supervised staff
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor Finance/Accounting designation
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of CBCS guidelines
- Advanced MS Excel
- Knowledge of Personal and Commercial Banking business lines and products
- Work collaboratively with Caribbean Finance team members
