What is the opportunity?
It’s an exciting time to join the Commercial Banking marketing team as we continue on a transformational journey across the portfolio. The business is amid a reinvention with a focus on creating differentiated value for clients, delivering digitally-enabled client experiences, accelerating growth and more. You will have significant accountability to drive the Product Marketing strategy across the Commercial Banking portfolio and to identify and advance marketing integration opportunities across segments, products and lines of business.
The Director is one who thrives in a fast pace, complex environment and evolving business. You will define the marketing agenda across key products, work closely with senior partners across Products, Business Enablement and Marketing to connect the dots between business priorities and client insights to deliver programs that are impactful with measurable results. The role also provides an opportunity to champion new ways of thinking and support how we bring the Commercial Banking value proposition to life.
What will you do?
- Lead the overall marketing strategy spanning all Commercial Banking products, services and channels, collaborating across multiple lines of business including Cash Management, Trade, Loans, Treasury, our new Digital Platform and more
- Align priorities and create marketing plans that deliver on individual LOB objectives, drive collective impact and support the overall Commercial Banking value proposition
- Lead the development of compelling value propositions for both individual Commercial Banking products/channels and the broader portfolio offering, ensuring clear differentiation and client relevance
- Oversee end-to-end marketing activities across the full funnel – including awareness, lead gen, acquisition, sponsorship, events, content, etc. – tailored to the specific needs of each Commercial Banking product area
- Navigate complexity and drive collaboration with key stakeholders across Marketing COEs, Lines of Business, Specialized Sales teams and Business Enablement to deliver cohesive strategies and superior outcomes
- Lead and inspire a high performing team and drive a mindset of continual innovation and forward-thinking, encouraging the team to think differently and anticipate what’s next
- Collaborate to refine the operating model with Marketing COEs for Content and Sponsorship & Events to drive impactful outcomes and clear success
- Drive new thinking and best-practive adoption across the team, including a results-driven approach with clear KPI establishment and measurement to enable strategic conversations, optimization and trade-offs
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in financial services or B2B marketing
- Proven ability to influence and work across a high complex organization, including at all levels of management
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decisions
- Exceptional communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and across the organization. Adapt and thrive within an evolving business, and an agile and changing environment
Nice-to-have
- Commercial Banking experience, strong understanding of Commercial Banking products, client needs and competitive landscape
