What is the Opportunity?
RBC offers an exciting role as a Manager, Brand Marketing Communications and Citizenship Supplier Relationships. In this role you will develop and strengthen the relationship between RBC and the suppliers by supporting the Supplier Relationship Managers within Brand, Marketing, Communications & Citizenship (BMCC). You will serve as a key conduit between the Supplier Management Shared Services and functional partners, to ensure key third-party relationships are appropriately managed, risks mitigated, and supplier value is realized, tracked, and continuously monitored by supporting and implementing supplier governance process and guidelines for all supplier relationships with BMCC.
What will you do?
Support Supplier relationships throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Maintain a comprehensive view of the BMCC Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 supplier relationships.
Support the onboarding of new suppliers and ensure effective execution of Supplier Relationship Management methods as defined in the Playbook (including roles and responsibilities and compliance to the Third Party and Intragroup Service Providers policy).
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Partner closely with stakeholders to identify and assist in mitigating emerging Supplier risks.
Develop and foster relationships within BMCC.
Advise BMCC partners on steps and requirements to creating services agreements and maintaining supplier relationships.
Act as key liaison with cross functional groups from RBC Procurement and Sourcing, Legal, Privacy, Business Continuity and Info Sec.
Facilitate and lead interactions between Governance centre of expertise, LOB business partners (all levels) and suppliers.
Support the business and suppliers in engaging Procurement with the execution of contract management, to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
Works directly with suppliers/business partners to close gaps.
Provide support and collaborate with Procurement teams during RFX initiatives.
Enhance key processes and self-service templates.
Analytics & Reporting.
This position will produce and publish reports on measurable activities as identified by department management. The purpose of the measurement is to identify trends and inform management of variances that may require action for continued process improvement and supplier compliance.
Maintain overall knowledge and understanding of RBC’s systems and processes including Supplier Management Policy and procurement.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Business Administration degree or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in Supplier Risk/Risk Management and/or Operational Risk highly preferred; Risk and Governance practices, Frameworks and methodologies.
Good understanding of RBC structure and services.
Project and/or change management experience.
Strong communication & relationship management skills with the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
Formidable critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness.
Ability to manage through influence at various levels, including senior management.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
Nice-to-have:
Risk Certification and/or PMP certification an asset.
Issue management and remediation.
Prior experience within a Supplier Management Office or other Risk Management Department.
Understanding and knowledge of Third-party risk management policy and standards, methodologies, best practices & audit requirements.
