Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Cash and Collateral Management & FX Trading, you will play a central role within the Total Fund Management team of the Chief Investment Office at RBC Insurance. You will be responsible for overseeing daily cash and collateral activities, foreign exchange (FX) and repo trading, securities lending, and settlement support.

This position requires deep expertise in cash and collateral management, short-term investments, and trading practices, as well as strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient execution and compliance with risk standards.

Your work will directly support liquidity optimization, capital efficiency, and adherence to regulatory and internal risk frameworks while enabling business growth through effective treasury and trading strategies.

What will you do?

  • Create and maintain a daily dashboard (cash, collateral, repo, FX, leverage, and cashflow forecasts) in collaboration with the Data Analytics team.
  • Assess collateral needs and execute collateral posting across legal entities and portfolios.
  • Optimize cash positioning and leverage across all legal entities and portfolios.
  • Execute repo and FX trades (spot and forward), as well as money market securities and hedging transactions.
  • Build and manage securities lending portfolios with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide market data and insights to internal stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Trading team to support settlement of fixed income and derivative trades.
  • Work with the Risk Management team to establish and maintain risk governance frameworks and trading policies.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 6-8 years of experience in cash and collateral management, short-term investments, repo trading, or treasury functions.
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of trading practices, collateral frameworks, and treasury operations within a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with experience using trading and financial systems (e.g., Bloomberg).

Nice-to-have:

  • CFA designation or progress towards CFA.
  • Experience in securities lending and FX hedging strategies.
  • Proficiency in data science and reporting tools (Python, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI).
