What is the opportunity?
The Director, Digital Acquisition Media is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing RBC's digital acquisition media delivery strategy. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing the digital acquisition media delivery strategy: This involves contributing to the development of RBC’s overall digital media strategy, which supports the various lines of business acquisition programs.
- Managing digital media campaigns: The Director will oversee the execution and delivery of digital media campaigns to achieve RBC's acquisition goals.
- Overseeing digital media delivery: This includes managing various aspects such as media strategy delivery, channel enablement, reporting and analytics, audience and conversion tracking, and API management.
- Building relationships with media vendors and marketing partners: The Director will need to establish and maintain strong relationships with key media vendors and senior RBC marketing leadership.
- Driving business growth: The role requires driving online applications, revenue growth, and lead generation to achieve annual business objectives.
- Delivering high-quality performance: The Director must ensure exceptional user experience, as well as business results, for the various lines of business.
To be successful in this role, the Director, Digital Acquisition Media, must have the following capabilities:
- A strong understanding of digital media, marketing, data enablement, and business operations
- Excellent people management, strategic, and analytical skills
- The ability to drive innovation, collaboration, and results-driven performance to achieve business objectives
What will you do?
The key responsibilities include:
- Leading RBC's digital acquisition media delivery strategy.
- Identify new digital media capabilities and implement them in new and existing digital advertising platforms.
- Building strong relationships with key partners, including RBC executives, Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit and positioning RBC as a leader in digital media.
- Developing and sharing success models and identifying emerging best practices and technology solutions for inclusion in integrated digital marketing campaigns and business plans per line of business.
- Optimizing digital media spend to maximize cross-channel return on ad spend (ROAS) and enable new ways to optimize and report.
- Continuously improving and refining RBC's digital media roadmap, with a goal of initiating, defining, and delivering extended capability for digital media and marketing with enterprise-wide full funnel scope.
- Ability to identify and implement new online capabilities, to improve efficiencies and achieve digital acquisition sales goals.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Minimum 10 years of digital marketing and in-platform experience with a focus on search and social media.
- Proven management background with a solid portfolio of successful management of media projects.
- Advanced knowledge of ad tech best practices.
- Experience in a financial analysis environment.
- Highly numerate and analytical with experience in managing a portfolio of digital marketing campaigns and vendor management.
Nice to have:
- Digital marketing agency experience.
- Experience implementing website tagging solutions.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Tableau.
- Additional in-platform experience with specific platforms such as: Campaign Manager 360, Display Video 360, Google Analytics 4, AppsFlyer and Search Ads 360.
