What is the opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join the Financial Planning and Pensions Team in Dublin. The purpose of this role is to provide effective financial planning administration both directly to clients and by assisting Financial Planners and Investment Managers in the provision of high quality, professional investment management services.

What will you do?

  • Understand the Irish pension and discretionary wealth management market.

  • Broad understanding of core Pensions and Financial Planning solutions and building knowledge through exposure to client planning scenarios.

  • Assist with the production of financial plans and analytical information in support of Financial Planning Team.

  • Supports colleagues with client interaction and by developing an awareness of client management and advice processes. Supports preparation of client review and new client meeting packs.

  • Maintain detailed records of applications in process and reminder system, update and maintain pensions new business report and the consolidation/ retirement reports.

  • Establish an effective, professional and positive relationship with team members. Act as a role model for sharing ideas and supporting colleagues in their work to contribute to overall success of the team and office.

  • Set an example by following the Company Values and Risk Culture and encourage these behaviors in others.

  • Promote a culture which embraces collaboration, encouraging trust and openness between all colleagues and clients.

  • Motivate and inspire others to achieve business objectives. Work with senior colleagues to determine priorities and execute business plans.

  • Maintain technical knowledge and CPD to keep abreast of legislation changes.

  • Understand and comply with regulations and principles applying to the role and RBC BD policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with Investment Manager Support team in relation to the onboarding of new business.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven experience in a technical, ideally Pensions/Retirement Planning Client Facing role.

  • Has attained QFA as a minimum, with relevant modules completed to APA level as a minimum.

  • Maintains CPD in line with professional body requirements.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Irish pension and discretionary wealth management market.

Nice-to-have

  • Existing knowledge of RBC Brewin Dolphin values and culture.
