What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an Associate Recruiter to join our Contingent Workforce Management team, providing talent advisory guidance and support to RBC business units in the engagement of external contractors. The successful candidate will partner with hiring managers to understand their contingent staffing needs, ensure compliance with risk management policies, and facilitate the delivery of high-quality contingent talent.
What will you do?
- Provide contingent staffing support to hiring managers, guiding them through the staff augmentation request process and ensuring accurate scoping, documentation, and alignment with business goals, skill requirements, and budget.
- Source and deliver qualified contingent talent shortlists through strategic partnerships with approved staffing suppliers, third-party payroll vendors, and by leveraging the RBC brand to attract top candidates.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails within the Vendor Management System (VMS), ensuring compliance with contingent workforce policies and procedures, and facilitating smooth handovers to Operations.
- Serve as a Talent Advisor and communication bridge between hiring managers, suppliers, providing guidance and support to ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency throughout the contingent staffing process.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have?
- 1-2 years of experience in recruitment, staffing, or a related field, with a focus on sourcing, interviewing, and shortlisting candidate slates.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to proactively deliver a positive experience.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in documentation and process execution.
- Ability to follow structured workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Nice to Have:
- Prior exposure to contingent workforce programs, staffing suppliers, or third-party payroll vendors.
- Familiarity with Vendor Management Systems (VMS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), or other recruitment technologies.
- Understanding of general HR or talent acquisition principles and compliance standards.
- Experience working in or supporting a fast-paced organization.
- Knowledge of RBC lines of business.
- Experience working in a recruitment agency.
- Bilingual French/English is an asset
