What is the opportunity?
RBC is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead recruitment for Corporate Functions (Canada/USA). In this high-impact role, you will work closely with senior business and HR leaders to develop and execute proactive, data-informed talent strategies to attract and hire top professionals in these critical functions.
You’ll lead a team of recruiters while playing a hands-on role in complex, senior-level searches, along with creating, leading and implementing sourcing strategies to meet business needs. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of functional talent markets, a passion for developing/implementing hiring strategies, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
What will you do?
Partner with senior leaders and HR business partners across RBC Functions (Canada/USA) to understand business priorities and workforce plans.
Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
Monitor and assess labour market trends, competitive insights and talent acquisition innovations.
Identifies internal and/or external emerging issues, trends and needs to inform business strategies & decisions.
Develop and lead end-to-end Campus and Experienced Talent recruitment strategies to proactively address current and future hiring needs.
Act as a trusted advisor on talent trends, competitive intelligence, and market conditions.
Manage and coach a team of full life cycle recruiters, ensuring delivery of best-in-class recruitment practices and an exceptional candidate experience.
Set clear team goals, track performance metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, quality of hire), and drive continuous improvement.
Promote a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
Build inclusive candidate pipelines through strategic sourcing, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
Leverage recruitment data and Workday insights to optimize processes and support talent planning.
Ensure adherence to RBC policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Talent Marketing to enhance RBC’s brand within corporate functions.
Lead senior-level searches and ensure a positive, engaging experience for all candidates.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
Post secondary education; University Degree or college diploma
7+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including at least 2 years in a leadership or strategic recruitment role
Experience hiring for complex corporate functions such as Legal, Finance, HR, AML, or Audit
Strong knowledge of Canadian labour laws and financial services industry recruitment dynamics
Demonstrated success in managing a recruiting team and influencing senior stakeholders
Experience with enterprise ATS platforms (e.g., Workday) and recruitment analytics
Nice-to-have:
Prior experience within a large matrixed organization
CHRL designation or HR-related certification
Experience executing campus, inclusive recruitment programs or targeted outreach
