Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Fall 2025 STUDENT placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of December 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2025/December 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying - candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible are not able to be considered.

SA&I is continuing to push the limits on the future of financial services. We are looking for highly curious interns that are eager to help us develop innovative solutions to serve our clients better. As a software developer intern, you will work with a team on complex computer science solutions, develop scalable software systems and collaborate on a specific project assigned to you. What will you do?
This internship is intended for students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field. This program includes three main components: a software project, skills-based training, and professional development.
This summer trainee program includes:
- Software Project: A defined project with clear outcomes that you will work on with a team of RBC’ers. The project will be defined together with your mentor at the beginning of the internship.
- Skills-Based Training: Enhance your coding skills, and gain exposure to tools and programming languages.
- Professional Development: Improve your presentation skills by presenting your work and outcomes at the end of the internship to senior team leaders.
- Mentorship: Be matched with an RBC Mentor Engineer, other than your manager, to guide you through your summer experience.
- Fun: Engage in social activities, community building and networking. Build relationships with your peers.
- Exposure: Gain a unique glimpse into applying your Computer Science studies in a professional environment.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- Experience in Computer Science.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Nice to have
- Programming experience in either Java, Python, C, or C++.
