What is the opportunity?
Wealth Management is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director, Data and AI Product to lead the development of Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) products, with a focus on AI and Data Strategy. As a key member of our Wealth Management Canada Data and Analytics team, you will drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of cutting-edge products that leverage AI technologies to solve real-world problems and drive business growth.
We are looking for a seasoned product leader to own the end-to-end product development process for our AI/ML portfolio, from ideation to launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders across Wealth Management Canada and RBC. Your expertise will help shape the delivery of innovative products, drive business success, and foster a culture of innovation within our team.
What will you do?

Drive Product Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with WM and RBC's broader objectives.
Lead the end-to-end product development process for AI/ML products, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality products.
Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly products.

AI, Business Intelligence and AI Strategy:
Working with the Director, AI and Innovation as well as individual product teams, help shape the vision, strategy, and delivery of Data, ML, and Generative AI products, driving the implementation of the AI strategy within Wealth Management Canada.
Identify market opportunities and define the product roadmap, focusing on innovative solutions that leverage AI technologies.
Work with the Director, Business Intelligence in developing a consistent Business Intelligence strategy for WMC aligning analytical reporting across the firm for Head Office and Advisors.
Help drive the design and maintenance of data domains and products that meet business needs for AI and operational use cases
Work with business stakeholders to create a consistent data dictionary, ensuring data quality and integrity across the organization.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business requirements and data needs, using this knowledge to inform product development.
Design and implement a data architecture that enables the integration of data from multiple sources, and supports the creation of a single, unified view of our clients and their data

Technical Bridge and Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Global Wealth Management and RBC, fostering collaboration and alignment towards a shared vision.
Influence and inspire cross-functional teams, including T&O, Business, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure seamless product execution.
Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship:
Help foster a culture of innovation within the WMC Data and Analytics team, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new ideas.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate AI advancements into your strategy.
Champion a test-and-learn approach, promoting experimentation and the use of data to drive decision-making.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus;
5+ years of experience in a top-tier technology company, with a focus on data strategy and AI or machine learning products;
Proven experience as a Product Manager within AI/ML and Data, with a track record of successfully shipping products in an enterprise environment that drive business impact;
Strong background in AI technologies and their application in product development, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts;
Understand of data and data models to translate operational system data into clear business data domains;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving alignment;
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions;
Understanding work experience in the Banking industry preferably in Wealth Management
