What is the opportunity?​

Are you ready to play a critical role in driving key initiatives across Commercial Banking’s Large Commercial & Corporate client segment? As the Manager, Initiatives and Implementation, you will support the Corporate Client Group (CCG) Transformation Office in executing impactful programs and strategies that will shape CCG’s national and regional business performance.

In this role, you will support transformation projects with executing on strategies and initiatives covering CCG business interactions including product, servicing, enablement, and strategy partners. You will be a critical liaison for projects/initiatives that include internal participation/collaboration in client need discovery sessions, new product launches, changes to existing services, and service migration projects as well as strategic initiatives that stem from the CCG Transformation Office (both nationally and regionally).

Our clients often have significant strategic, operational and reputational importance for the bank where there are complex banking relationships requiring a high degree of customization and/or collaboration. You will lead the intake and change management activities required to successfully embed and sustain various initiatives within CCG with success.

What will you do?

  • Support the strategic direction and execution of transformational and sustaining strategies within the region and national scope of CCG
  • Leverage RBC partners in the Region and nationally to develop better solutions and achieve cross enterprise solutions
  • Fully accountable for the coordination of initiatives across a breadth of complexity including sales initiatives, role design, process design, etc
  • Be a point of contact and support for National Office pilots and tests
  • Support the design and lead the implementation of regional initiatives using project management methodologies that includes data analysis and drawing out data insights
  • Contribute to the development and effective application of sales and service best practices, routine management, client discovery, change management and skill building
  • Support coverage teams within CCG for Sales Tools, Training & Development, Industry, and Marketing strategies (development of pitchbook templates as an example)
  • Coordinates and/or leads collaboration/best practice sharing meetings, team meetings, lunch & learns and multiple partner meetings as part of sales support/enablement as required
  • Support CCG’s liaison between our service teams, Transaction Banking, Service Coverage Model and Coverage Model work currently underway

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Strong understanding of various aspects of CCG business lines
  • A strong track record of working with various partner groups
  • Excellent Excel skills with strong proficiency in data manipulation, analysis and visualization
  • Strong PowerPoint skills in crafting engaging presentations with compelling visuals and clear communication
  • Strong digital capability, along with a history of leveraging RBC tools such as Connect, Workday to facilitate capability building with peers, colleagues and direct reports
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize in managing multiple, high workloads and sometimes conflicting time demands, while ensuring exceptional execution, and effective time management

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of RBC’s credit, cash management and servicing models
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional client service
  • Understanding of the various Commercial or Corporate Service models
  • Extensive experience working in a team atmosphere and effective coaching skills
