What is the opportunity?

The CWMT- Portfolio Management and Client Reporting team is looking for an Application Support Analyst to join Production support team . In this role you will be primarily responsible for day to day application support, monitoring batch jobs, handling and resolving user inquiries, participate in major incidents through the issue resolution.

What will you do?

  • Day-to-Day Applications Support and production support investigations, troubleshooting systems for applications in scope, JCL and batch Jobs.

  • Ensuring the applications health and performance in production, monitor and investigate JCL batch job executions, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely resolutions to maintain smoot operations.

  • Perform system health check, analyze system monitoring dashboard (Dynatrace), logging system (ELK), and other tools to identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks.

  • Improve and standardize the monitoring solutions for all applications, to predict and prevent production issues.

  • Lead the investigation and analysis of application operational failures through to resolution, and drive follow-up for root cause identification.

  • Assist in incident management and problem management for applications in scope.

  • Participate in walkthrough reviews of project release hand over, specifications, programs, Implementation plans, and PIV test plans.

  • Responsible for ensuring maintenance of high-quality support documents, procedures and processes.

  • Establish healthy working relationships across variety of IT partners / units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Expert knowledge and relevant experience in SQL queries and scripting.

  • Great expertise with main industry databases (SQL server, Oracle, MongoDB, etc)

  • Experience with Windows servers, IIS Web servers, Linux server, cloud applications and SQL Servers, KAFKA,API's.

  • Hands-on experience in a variety of Industry standard SRE tools (Ansible, Catchpoint, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Slack, Elastic Stack)

  • Strong experience in troubleshooting, attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to quickly pick up new tools, programming languages, libraries, frameworks, and other technical concepts as needed.

  • Understanding of one or more of the following: programming languages, databases, and/or web technologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to deal with key partners across the organization: Business, Operations, Application Development, Maintenance, and Infrastructure Teams

  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to Java, .Net, GitHub, DevSecOps, IBM Urbancode Deploy, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Desk.

  • Experience in Vendor Management, application development, database, system engineering and/or systems analysis.

  • Understanding of banking/financial services industry.
