Job Description
What is the opportunity?
Provide GTB Call Loans, Overdraft Monitoring, Daylight Monitoring and CDSX Credit Lines Services to Broker Dealer Clients and select Banks. Provide relief for the Associate Broker Services and the Manager Broker Services Positions during absences and peak periods.
***Please note, this is a One Year contract opportunity***
What will you do?
Call Loan Process/Rate Updates:
- Prepare/verify BESS entries for each Call Loan/Payoff
- Accept and release clients securities collateral through CDS
- Setup/verify security positions on BANCS to correlate with CDSX activity
- Calculate value of collateral including margin requirements in support of loans advanced
- Check/verify clients’ collateral to ensure margin requirements are met
- Check/verify Call Loan Evaluation Report to ensure collateral is posted accurately
- Ensure Call Loan Hypothecation Forms are appropriately authorized by clients
- Input Call Loans/ Loan and Payoffs for all Brokers on the Call Loan System (ACBS) to facilitate interest calculation
- Provide monthly Call loan interest statement to clients
- Weekly verify MVF and T-Bill rates are updated accurately in BVI
CDSX Credit Line Process (Extending Lines)
- Set-up approved CDSX Credit Line(reserve line) upon clients request
- Refer to Account Manager to obtain approval for additional CDSX Credit Lines for branch transit clients’, where required.
- Refer to Liquidity Risk to obtain approval for additional CDSX Credit lines for selected clients.
Overdraft Monitoring/ Track/Record Daylight & CDS Usage:
- Confirm/verify Broker Dealer clients opening balances via RBC Express on branch transits, advise clients which accounts are in an overdraft.
- Daily track/record Daylight /CDS Credit line peak usage to facilitate month-end charges to clients
- Daily track/record peak usage figures for risk review requirements
- Manually calculate Daylight peak usage figures on CAD for a specific internal client
- Month-end prepare and send spreadsheet on Daylight Overdraft/CDS fees charges to Client Services (GFI Billing) to charges to clients
- Bi-Monthly check clients’ credit facilities on Bess/CDS against BS reference spreadsheet
- Send client fee statements on CDSX usage
- Prepare monthly letters for select clients on Fees
- Monitor Uncollected fees for select Brokers
- Advise Cash Management of EOD fluctuations $100MM and over on a daily basis
Bess Posting / Verifying and Monitoring
- Process USD transfers via CDS
- Post/verify Bess entries for CDS transfers
- Daily shadow post in Bess select clients’ EDI totals retrieved from DDA
- Process penalty fees charges on Bess for selected bank clients and track on spreadsheet.
- Monitor cash position on Bess throughout the day to ensure they are within approved Daylight Overdraft limits
- Liaise with Account Manager/Relationship Manager when needed for additional temporary Daylight excess approval
- Post/verify on Bess clients DTC and DCS (CAD /USD) EOD net settlements totals retrieved from CDS reports and balance against relative G/L’s
- Monitor and balance Broker Dealer Transit G/L’s
- Remove/re-establish daylight on Bess (CAFU) to facilitate payment release on either Cad or USD.
- Save copy of CAFU changes
