What is the opportunity?
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for supporting the adoption and evolution of Operational Risk Reporting. In performing this role, you will provide ongoing support for the various operational risk stakeholders to ensure operational risk reports and dashboards are able to deliver a scalable, stable and performant environment that meets both program requirements and the need of the business areas.
You will be accountable for driving Operational Risk reporting and analytics requirements. Additionally, you will support the creation of dashboards used by the business to better monitor and manage Operational Risk.
What will you do?
- Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and support the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
- Elicit and document business requirements for various initiatives with focus on translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Responsible for creating, refining and maintaining requirements documentation.
- Responsible for annual business requirements documentation refresh.
- Support design, development, testing and implementation of reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Provide day to day BAU support related to the Operational Risk reporting.
- Support includes: data analysis, access management, data management, report management, and problem resolution.
- Establish strong working relationships across business areas to build influence and impact with key business partners: Operational Risk Centers of Governance (COGs), A&Os as well Operational Risk Shared Services teams
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- University degree in any quantitative field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Systems Analyst or related role
- Experience in translating business requirements to technical solutions.
- Experience in performing testing to ensure functionalities meet the requirements.
- Experience in Data Analysis.
- Ability to analyze data sets, identify underlying data patterns, document findings and problem solve.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills both in written and verbal.
- Good presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to partner and build strong relationships with people internally and externally at all levels in a variety of groups, across the organization.
Nice-to-have
- Experience within GRC domains, preferably in Operational Risk, including IT & Cyber risks
- Experience in developing metrics (KRIs or KPIs) is preferred.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
