What is the opportunity?
To provide senior level support and coverage for the US Securities Settlements team. To settle and/or process all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner.
*** Please note, this is an 18-month contract opportunity.***
What will you do?
Aid in managing volumes and organizing workflow
Work constructively with teams across multiple business entities in a fast paced environment
Process the settlements of US Fixed Income & Equity Securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis
Reconcile cash and position breaks related to settlements
Posses good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities (DTC, BDC, APEX, ICI IMPACT, BPS, etc)
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards and guidelines instructions and ensures processes and controls are in place to minimize operations risk
On an ongoing basis will assist Manager, US Securities Settlements with any ad hoc requirements / tasks
Must-have:
Post-secondary education or equivalent
Strong communication skills
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience
Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel
Experience in banking, preferably in trade settlements
Nice to have:
Good working knowledge of internal trading, account and settlement systems including: BDC, APEX, ICI Impact, RIMMS
