What is the opportunity?

Joining a world-class Global Security organization as a Sr. Manager of Cyber Crisis Response for the United Kingdom presents an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead at the forefront of cybersecurity operations. This role is central to ensuring the security and resilience of the organization, making it a pivotal position in RBC’s overall Security framework.

The successful candidate will be contributing meaningfully to the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity, providing protection at a Global scale while driving innovation and excellence in Incident/Crisis Response and Threat Management.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team focused on protecting critical business assets, managing complex third-party relationships, and mitigating cyber risks in an evolving threat landscape. As part of a larger cybersecurity incident management team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we respond to and recover from third-party incidents, making a tangible impact on RBC’s security posture.

What will you do?

  • Lead the end-to-end management of third-party cybersecurity incidents, including detection, containment of potential contagion, internal incident response, and recovery efforts.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and external partners in the effort to coordinate incident response activities and ensure timely notifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors to ensure alignment with security standards and incident response protocols.
  • Analyze incident trends, identify root causes, and educate internal cybersecurity teams to apply proactive measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response playbooks, processes, and tools to address emerging threats.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on third-party incident management, providing guidance to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Support tabletop exercises, audits, and assessments related to third-party cybersecurity incidents.

What do you need?

Must-have:

  • Solid experience in incident management, with a focus on third-party incidents or supply chain risks.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity concepts, incident response methodologies, and threat landscapes.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical skills to assess complex incidents, determine impacts, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Experience working in cross-functional environments, fostering teamwork, and influencing stakeholders.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead incident response efforts and manage teams or projects in high-stakes situations.


Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related disciplines or relevant experience.
  • Industry recognized certifications (CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GREM, GCFA).
  • Experience in working within a large, global financial services company.
