What is the opportunity?

The IT Asset Management Data Governance team oversees the lifecycle of IT assets while ensuring compliance with data governance policies and procedures. Responsibilities include developing and implementing data governance frameworks specific to IT assets, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the asset lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to establish asset management best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to data and IT assets.

What will you do?

  • Strategy Development: Support the development of a clear vision and strategy for IT asset management data governance aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Governance Framework: Lead and provide strategic direction for a robust governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all IT asset management processes.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Sets direction and vision, coaches and mentors a team of IT asset management and data governance professionals.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into asset utilization, costs, and compliance. Use data analytics to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with executives and key stakeholders to provide insights and updates on IT asset management initiatives, build strong relationships with functional units to understand their asset needs.

  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate regularly with leadership and other stakeholders, providing updates on IT asset management data governance initiatives, progress, and challenges.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 5+ years of related experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • In-depth knowledge of IT asset management best practices, software licensing, and compliance.

  • Strong understanding of IT procurement processes and vendor management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
