Senior Business System Analyst, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Jersey City, New Jersey:
Work as senior business analyst across Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS), Business & Client Services Technology (BCST) streams by coordinating on project deliverables with senior business reps, Business Analysts (BA), application developers, and lead architects within Core Frameworks. Partners across IT and with assigned business line(s) to research and analyze business, functional requirements in order to address various regulatory and transformation requirements. Determine a project’s requirements by extracting them from business or government policies, as well as from current and future users, through interaction and research. Anticipate requirements that will be needed in the future. Construct project plans, identify and document Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decision (RAID) logs. Prepare and organize status updates sessions with senior management and project stakeholders. Translate business requirements to technical requirements. This includes using powerful analysis and modeling tools to match strategic business objectives with practical technical solutions. Safeguard requirements by verifying functionality, accuracy, and completeness of the requirements against the original initiating documents. Verify requirements through analysis, test, demonstration, and inspection to prevent and correct defects. Verify application functionality post development through analysis, test, demonstration, and inspection to prevent and correct defects. Provide functionality demo for Business User and support during User Acceptance.
Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $118,300.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Financial and Risk Management or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Financial and Risk Management or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in:
- Banking & Financial Services Sector;
- Capital markets;
- Risk management;
- Trade Flow and various financial products including Equities, Fixed Income, Options & Security Financing (Repo & Sec Lending);
- Settlements and Clearing applications including BPSAdvantage (BPSA), IMPACT Advantage (ICI / IMPACT);
- Using JIRA, SharePoint, and Excel to support Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), project planning, and project governance;
- Modelling use cases and working with a test team to create test data for test scenarios using QTEST;
- Producing project and program artefacts, including Functional Specification Documents (FSD), Wireframes, and weekly status updates to product owners, using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint;
- Data manipulation and data analysis using SQL queries on Relational Database Management System (RDMS) databases;
- JIRA for agile implementation;
- Confluence to document requirements, flow diagrams and wireframes; and,
- Webex for meeting global teams.

The base salary for this job is $118,300.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
