What is the opportunity?

RBC Cards is one of the leading credit card businesses in Canada and is a strong contributor to Canadian Banking’s revenues and profits. The business has grown tremendously in the last five years, driven by our strong suite of Credit Card products and innovative strategy.

In this role, you will be accountable for analysis, execution and delivery in support of RBC’s no-fee and low-fee rewards product portfolio, with a specific focus on expansion and growth opportunities in the everyday rewards and cash back segments. You will support the Senior Manager and Senior Director to achieve overall strategic and financial goals of the business by completing foundational analysis and performance monitoring and leading the implementation of strategic initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Support management in all stages of the product management lifecycle and support development and implementation of growth initiatives

  • Acquire and analyze data to answer key business questions relating to product development or portfolio health

  • Support P&L management including planning, setting growth objectives, and managing key revenue drivers

  • Develop long term strategies for driving growth of the Mass Rewards credit card portfolio incorporating financial and market-based objectives

  • Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Marketing, Acquisition, Engagement and others to effectively execute on product strategies

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Track record of excellence in analytics, modeling, and developing data driven strategies

  • Strong ability to achieve results in the context of complexity, ambiguity, and constant change

  • Highly organized with ability to multitask and shift priorities

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to resolve issues through innovative solutions

  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal partners

  • Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Knowledge of the credit card industry

  • Experience in the business management of credit card products

  • Experience with large-scale project delivery
