What is the Opportunity?

Do you have a passion for Security technologies who is energetic, enthusiastic, well organized and has a passion for cybersecurity and development to join our team. We are a team that requires an eager go-getter who wants to take charge, provide valuable client support and become a dependable team player within the organization. As part of Endpoint Cyber security Engineering team, you will be a key technical resource for the internal RBC line of businesses, primarily focused on designing, implementing and delivering customized solutions and providing tailored guidance in automating the services and products to our hybrid ecosystem. This will also involve collaboration with multiple functional groups within Cloud, Security, technology infrastructure and operation groups within RBC.

What will you do?

  • Develop automation and infrastructure as code to improve operational consistency and efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM templates, and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling of cloud resources.

  • Work with the team to implement secure, highly available and scalable architectures for Security platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture best practices and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows to streamline software delivery and infrastructure management processes using existing tools and established tech stack.

  • Deploy new automation incrementally and iteratively to get near real-time feedback from our stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance to other team members on managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing projects on the Azure/AWS public cloud.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Kubernetes.

  • A passion for making developers more efficient through DevOps, CI/CD, Automation, and Infrastructure as Code principles.

  • Strong expertise in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and ARM templates

  • Position requires providing on-call support.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a cloud environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)

  • AWS certifications (e.g., Devops Engineer, Solution Architect, SysOps Administrator)
