WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Lead Solutions Architect to join our Global Functions Technology team within RBC Technology and Operations. In this role, you will design and implement robust technology solutions that align with RBC’s strategic objectives. You will work on a variety of projects, including but not limited to generative AI (GenAI), cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with Architects, business stakeholders, and other departments to ensure that technology solutions are scalable, secure, and meet diverse business requirements.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design and implement enterprise-level solutions that align with RBC’s architecture standards and strategic goals across various technology domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation of a wide range of projects.
- Lead the architecture and design of projects in areas such as GenAI, cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, and more, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with RBC’s business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices across different technology domains, ensuring integration and compliance with RBC’s enterprise architecture framework.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, and architecture blueprints.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet business requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices across multiple areas of technology.
- Support other departmental initiatives as needed, ensuring a seamless integration of technology solutions across the organization.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in solutions architecture, with a focus on large-scale, complex environments.
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Broad expertise across multiple technology domains, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, enterprise applications, and more.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions in emerging technology areas such as GenAI is an asset, but not the sole focus.
- Ability to think strategically and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in the financial services industry is an asset.
