Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Associate Director/ Manager, Client Due Diligence Team, you will be part of Wealth Management Asia Chief Operating Office. You will work with various stakeholders to support Wealth Management Business on client onboarding.

What will you do?

  • Support Wealth Management Business on client onboarding

  • Liaise with front office and AMLC to review and onboard new accounts, and act as intermediary between front Office and other support functions on any issues that has been escalated for urgent resolutions

  • Review client/prospect background and profile and completeness of account documents including the documentation requirements for different types of entities structures

  • Assess plausibility of source of wealth corroboration

  • Advise front office on alternative solution that meets internal policy and regulatory requirements

  • Conduct checks on various KYC search engines, review the results and escalate where necessary.

  • Participate in projects such as system UAT and follow up on system enhancement/implementation

  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects and assigned duties, as well as audit

  • Maintain the department procedure and policy manuals

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree holder in Finance, Business or related discipline

  • At least 5 years experience in wealth management, preferably with experience in middle office

  • Have experience in reviewing and approving all risk accounts including high risk accounts

  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to provide client focus solutions which complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements

  • Committed, responsible and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details

  • Good spoken and written English

  • Able to read Simplified and Traditional Chinese

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and proficient in Avaloq
