What is the opportunity?

As Manager, Welcome to Tech@RBC, T&O Experience, you will help with the strategic development and execution of activations, engagement and content delivery to ensure a seamless, flexible, and meaningful experience where new T&O employees feel welcomed, connected, and empowered to succeed. Reporting to the Director, T&O Experience, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage components of a new employee talent program with a focus on learning, career, culture, and communication. This is a fun, high performing team that thrives through empathy, intelligence and an impactful outcome focused mentality.

What will you do?

  • Plan and deliver high impact projects/initiatives that will have a meaningful impact on employee experiences (e.g. run events, create content and lead discussions).
  • Create communications (including emails, surveys, Webex content) to support program initiatives and events.
  • Track metrics and outcomes from cross-team projects/initiatives and contribute to reports for the T&O OC and Talent Leadership.
  • Partner and collaborate closely with all relevant internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless experience for new T&O employees.
  • Commit to continuous learning and researching best practices in employee experience.
  • Manage in-person and virtual sessions included in the program, including oversight of scheduling and logistics, managing registration and volunteers and supporting technology.
  • Leverage your passion and enthusiasm to ensure new T&O employees feel welcomed, connected, and empowered to succeed.
  • Additional duties and participation in projects as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 2-4 years’ experience in events/program management
  • Experience in event management, organization skills, prioritizing, project management, and multi-tasking to meet conflicting demands, with the ability to identify challenges and propose solutions
  • Experience managing multiple deliverables with stakeholders across T&O
  • Experience with strategic communications planning / execution
  • Passionate about employee experience, approaching the challenge from a user-centric design perspective, and bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to the table
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Analytics capabilities, to build and track key metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of MS Outlook, Powerpoint, Poppulo and Excel

Nice-to-have

  • Degree in Communications/Journalism or equivalent experience
