What is the opportunity?

As the Global Functions Technology (GFT) Vancouver Employee Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for implementing strategies to increase overall employee engagement, creating a positive environment that enables successful high-performing teams. You will also be responsible for working closely with internal and external partners, in enabling GFT hub growth strategy as well as tracking & reporting on key performance indicators.

What will you do?

Design and implement employee engagement strategy Ensure GFT recruitment is aligned to hub identify, maintaining score card & key performance indicators as well as proposing mitigation strategies were targets are not being met. Track & report on recruitment & employee engagement metrics for the Vancouver hub for GFT team Organize resource onboarding & ensure new employees feel settled with equipment, desk, access card, buddy etc. Coordinate & arrange local events / activities – such as townhalls, upskilling workshops, social gatherings, volunteer events, executive visits Hub communication / newsletter / slack channel / etc. Assist GFT Vancouver Hub Strategy & Regional Tech lead in Vancouver hub & overall portfolio activities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Undergraduate degree, with advanced working knowledge of excel & power-point

  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) & interpersonal skills

  • 5+ years of Employee engagement & communications or similar experience

  • Experience working in a matrix organization, building employee & stakeholder relationships

  • Data analytics & reporting experience

  • Knowledge of BC & Vancouver culture, market, partnerships, universities

Nice to Have

  • Experience in building technical teams

  • Strategy building and executive reporting

  • Experience working in a Financial Institution

  • Experience in recruitment in BC market
