As a SDET QE you will support the Sr. QE Manager or QE Director in achieving their strategic goals for the QE Team by providing leadership, technical support to the team, design solutions to testing problems the business faces via relevant process and practice, the use of tools and technology and by applying soft skills such as effective communication and mentoring of QE staff and other project team members in industry-standard & RBC sanctioned Quality Engineering methodologies.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Automate assigned areas/feature using existing Framework and provide the test estimations.
• Responsible for designing the effective test cases using Model based approach and test design techniques.
• Responsible for overall quality of testing deliverables/activities
• Prepare daily/weekly status and milestone reports on projects under test deliverables.
• Create and review Test Plan/Execution document, Test Suite, Traceability matrix etc. and walkthrough with different teams, plan and coordinate defect triage.
• Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.
• Leverages the existing automation frameworks, tools and artefacts to ensure testing process is continuous, comprehensive and fully autonomous.
• Lead independent releases including integration testing and bring up risks to QE Lead/Manager in a timely fashion and prepare for contingency.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

• Typically requires 5+ years of QE related experience
• Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application support and development.
• Expert level knowledge with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques with hands on experience on ALM, JIRA and Confluence.
• Expert knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration.
• Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/Rest Assured/Robot Framework, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in developing testing strategies, executing manual/automated test cases and reporting to senior management for complex multi-application system integrations

Nice-to-have:

• QA related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc.
• Experience in Model based testing and tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise etc.
• Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience(e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)
• Good experience in Mobile automation testing.
