What is the opportunity?

In this role the Senior Manager, Supplier Management will be responsible for the holistic management of Technology Supplier relationships across multiple platforms, functional units and geographic locations for Caribbean Technology. This role will ensure an effective end-to-end Technology Supplier Management discipline (relationship, performance, contractual and financial) for all relevant Technology Vendors in adherence with established Enterprise Third Party Risk and Governance Frameworks. This role encompasses, but is not limited to, contractual due diligence, risks assessments (Cyber, Privacy and Data), overall value for money and all executive reporting.

What will you do?

  • Provide leadership and direction for the discipline of supplier management (including Professional Fees, SOW contracts and Third-Party Software License Agreements) across Caribbean Technology to increase value from suppliers by strengthening relationships, governing performance, and providing key reporting
  • Act as an expert and execute on supplier management governance requirements and best practices within Caribbean Technology (relationship management, performance management, risk management, invoice management)
  • Own the Caribbean Technology Supplier repository, including pre-approval/ approval processes for all contracts in the portfolio; performs analytics, forward looking dashboards, highlight trends in the industry as well as to guide recommendations
  • Partner with Directors, Application Custodians and Application Leads to implement and support processes that ensure compliance with RBC supplier management policies and standards
  • Facilitate regular Supplier Review Sessions with the business and Technology Stakeholders
  • Be the central point of communication and support of any system or process changes and issues to the Supplier Management community
  • Provide executive reporting on all Supplier performance and operational metrics
  • Respond to all audit and regulatory reviews on Third Party Risk such as Cyber and Data

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of proven Supplier Management experience (relationship, governance, performance)
  • Contract law and/or supplier management certification
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Technology
  • Strong business and financial acumen plus operational mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to build sustainable, transparent relationships / partnerships, with the ability to coach and partner across a matrix organization

  • MBA will be an asset
